If we refer to the current series which is Dragon Ball Super then it is clear that Gohan is defenietly stronger than Gohan and Gotens.

As both Trunks and Gotens are still young can only transform to Super Saiyan while Gohan can transform into Super Saiyan 2. Gohan also knows more fighting techniques than Gotens and Trunks as he also took trainning from Supreme Kai in Dragon Ball Z series to fight Majin Buu.
